Help! Friend with cancer, trying to research alternative treatment!?

I have a thirty year old friend with breast cancer. She is undergoing chemo. I am big into holistic health and want to responsibly take on the decision of guiding her to an alternative treatment.

I am researching holism to first present my argument. Then I will need to research treatments to help her. I am willing to take her to the US for an alternative treatment center if the cost does not go over 5 000 dollars. I am thinking raw whole foods, juice fasting, yoga, detox detox detox.

Please give me all the info you know!
I find your statement contradictory. How could detox, etc. work when the chemo is killing the good cells along with the bad?

Check with your local health food store owners, they may know some good info that can be done at the same time as the chemo.

I can tell you some of the things that I have heard work well. 24ounces of organic carrot juice every day, green barley, and organic foods. Stay away from things like city water, ibuprofen, artificial sweeteners. A positive attitude also helps.

Hopefully you get some good info and find someone who can help out. Good luck!

But it should be incorporated in an overall therapeutic concept which includes an appropriately handled holistic strategy of treatments. The author describes how he has developed the three therapeutic pillars based on the experiences made in his homeopathic practice over the course of many years. In addition to this conventional treatment of cancer, there are other methods or treatments used as well, like mistletoe therapy, homeopathy and psychotherapy. The book serves as a guideline for the interested reader, explaining how to use the therapy and what has to be avoided at any rate. When Alexandra Todd’s twenty-one-year-old son is diagnosed with cancer, the family embarks on an odyssey that ultimately steers an expansive course between the gleaming technologies of traditional Western medicine and the gentle arts of alternative healing. That the voyage is successful is testimony not only to the strength of Drew’s courage, but also to his mother’s determination to combine the best of Western medical techniques with Eastern treatment strategies in their battle against life threatening illness. Double Vision is a unique combination of memoir and rigorous scholarship. Todd, a medical sociologist who has written extensively about health care delivery, describes Drew’s compelling struggle in strong personal language. At the same time, she also reflects on larger issues of U.S. health care such as social class and accessibility to treatment, conventional medicine’s often intractable power structure, and the effects of globalization on medical knowledge. Invaluable appendices offer practical information on macrobiotic foods and recipes, cookbooks, mail order companies, organizations for nutritional education and referrals, selected readings on mind/body connections and Chinese and holistic medicine, and addresses of stress reduction and Chinese/holistic medicine centers.
